Sites I Frequent These Days

It’s about time I started posting more; today is Memorial Day and I’m hard at work. The past several weeks have gone by like a blur, and my normal web browsing habits have been generally kicked out the window. So I thought I might enlighten you with a short list of sites I now visit on a daily basis.
Digg. I no longer comb the underbelly of the Upcoming sections like I used to - the time just isn’t there. But I have a look at the front page a few times every day; it’s my way of keeping on top of what’s happening outside the world of web design.
Reddit. When I need a break from work or school, I’ll snap over to Reddit to see what’s hot. I always ignore the political stories, and usually go for the items with “[PIC]” on the end. I usually get a good laugh out of many of them.
Kijiji. I’m on the market for a new guitar and amp, and I have a look at Kijiji once a day to see what’s new in the listings. It amazes me at how high - and how low - people will ask for a piece of equipment, in ignorance of what the price is on an identical item next to it on the list.
Facebook. Easily the biggest time-consumer of my online life. For the most part that’s a good thing.
Smashing Magazine. Need I say more than just the title of the website?
A List Apart. I usually have a read through each monthly issue of this solid web design publication.
The FAIL Blog. Yeah. This one pretty much owns. Dozens and dozens of pictures of fails.
BetaTalk. I usually log in once or twice a day to check my stats and make sure I’m not getting hit with any big spam floods.
And that’s about it! I’m actually kind of glad I don’t have time to peruse all the sites I used to - it’s made my life more diverse and minimalistic. Which means I’m not forgetting what time it is or where I left my backpack. And that’s always a good thing, no?
